When something as monumental and amazing as The Uniform Project hits the radar, it is extremely difficult to stop talking about it. So, I figured it would be beneficial (and fun) to give the project’s little black dress and its creator their well-deserved moment in the spotlight too!
Meet Eliza Starbuck, the talent behind the LBD worn by Sheena Matheiken during The Uniform Project’s year long project. Not only is the dress super cute, but it is also environmentally friendly and sustainable. Starbuck likes to think of her creation as “a canvas for self-expression.” She explains,
“I ‘ve seen so many women with closets full of clothes who say, ‘I haven’t got a thing to wear.’ I’m giving them a dress that they can wear forwards, backwards, open, again and again, with anything they like.”
And guess what? You can get your hands on this amazing dress too. At the start of Matheiken’s challenge, Starbuck launched her own clothing line You Bright Young Things. And—the little black dress just happens to be the central force of the line’s existence.
So whether you are looking to fill Sheena Matheiken’s shoes by becoming the next humanitarian fashionista, or if you are just searching for the perfect black dress to wear wherever and whenever, your go-to destination has got to be You Bright Young Things. At an easy-breezy price of $186, you wont even have to break the bank!
*Just a warning—the dress is so cute you may find yourselves wearing it everyday anyways!
